Ingredients

  • 10 to 12 slices bread, decrusted and cubed
  • 1 lb. sausage, bacon or ham, crumbled
  • 12 oz. mild Cheddar, grated
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 stick margarine, melted
  • 2 c. crushed cornflakes

    Pam a 9 x 12-inch pan.

    Place bread on bottom in a single layer.

    Sprinkle meat, then cheese over bread.

    Mix eggs, milk and seasonings.

    Pour over casserole.

    Blend cornflakes and margarine and spread over top of casserole.

    Let stand in fridge overnight. Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
