Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bulk hot sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 scant tsp. dry mustard or a few dashes of hot sauce
  • 4 slices bread, cubed
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

    Saute sausage.

    Drain.

    Beat eggs with milk, salt and mustard. Line 13 x 9-inch baking dish with bread.

    Top with sausage, then cheese.

    Pour egg mixture over all.

    Cover tightly.

    Refrigerate overnight.

    Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 35 to 45 minutes.
