  • 4 c. water
  • 1 c. quick grits
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 lb. sausage, browned and drained
  • 8 oz. sharp cheese, grated
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 stick margarine

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°. Grease 3-quart long baking dish. Boil water and salt; gradually add grits. Cook 4 to 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat. Gradually add grits to beaten eggs. Return to saucepan. Add sausage, cheese, milk and margarine. Blend well and pour into baking dish. Bake 1 hour.
