- 6 slices bread, lightly toasted
- 1 lb. sausage, cooked and drained
- 1 1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
- 5 eggs
- 1 pt. half and half or milk
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 lb. sliced mushrooms (optional)
Directions

1Crumble bread into bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.

2Sprinkle cooked sausage over toast, then cheese.

3Mix in bowl the eggs, half and half, mustard and salt.

4Pour this mixture over cheese.

5Cover with foil; refrigerate for 8 hours.

6Bake at 400° for 40 minutes.
