Ingredients

  • 2 c. half and half or light cream
  • 9 eggs, beaten
  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bread
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Mix cream and eggs and allow to stand in refrigerator overnight.

    When ready to prepare, remove from refrigerator. Preheat oven to 300°.

    Cook sausage until done; drain and crumble. Trim crust from bread slices.

    Place them in the bottom of the pan.

    Place the crumbled sausage over the bread.

    Add the grated cheese.

    Pour the egg mixture over the top of the other ingredients.
