Ingredients

  • 5 c. quick-cook oatmeal
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup, (1/2 to 1/3)
  • 1 c. wheat germ
  • 1 c. coconut, optional
  • 1 c. raisins, optional
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions

    Put all dry ingredients together in a bowl and mix.

    Sprinkle vanilla and Karo syrup over mix.

    Mix well.

    Pour into shallow pans.

    Toast at 200 degrees for 20-30 min (or possibly till it starts to turn brown).

    Store in a tight container when cold.

    Serve with lowfat milk.
