Breakfast Egg Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bacon or ham
  • 1 doz. eggs
  • 3 c. milk
  • 8 slices bread
  • 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions

    First butter 9 x 13-inch pan well.

    Trim crust off bread and cube bread.

    Place bread cubes in bottom of pan.

    Blend eggs and milk and add salt and pepper to taste.

    Pour over bread cubes. Cut bacon in small pieces; fry and drain.

    Put the bacon or ham, if you prefer, on next.

    Then sprinkle the cheese on top.

    Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.

    Take out of refrigerator 1/2 hour before baking.

    Bake 1 hour at 350° or until done.
