  • 4 c. cubed firm (dry) white bread
  • 8 oz. shredded sharp cheese
  • 1/4 c. green onion (optional)
  • 4 oz. mushrooms
  • 10 eggs, beaten
  • 4 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 8 to 10 slices crumbled bacon

Directions

    Grease 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Layer the bread crumbs for bottom layer and end with cheese.

    Mix in large bowl, eggs, milk and spices; pour over layer of bread.

    Put in refrigerator overnight. Bake at 325° for 50 to 60 minutes, uncovered.
