  • 8 slices white bread, buttered on both sides
  • 5 eggs, beaten with milk and seasonings
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. cooked ham, sausage or bacon
  • grated cheese

Directions

    Place buttered bread in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Pour eggs, milk and seasoning mixture over bread.

    Crumble meat over this. Cover with grated cheese, American or Cheddar.

    Refrigerate overnight, covered.

    Bake at 300° for 30 to 40 minutes, covered. Uncover and continue another 30 to 40 minutes.
