Brennan'S Bread Pudding

- 1 c. sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 5 eggs
- 1 pt. whipping cream
- dash of cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1/3 c. raisins
- 12 slices French bread, sliced 1-inch thick, trim crusts and cut into 1-inch cubes
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Cream together the sugar and butter. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

3Add the whipping cream slowly.

4Add the cinnamon, vanilla and raisins. Spray an 8 x 14 x 2-inch Pyrex dish with Pam.

5Place bread cubes in Pyrex dish.

6Arrange bread cubes in one layer, tightly packed. Pour mixture over bread cubes and allow to stand 10 minutes.

7Press until the bread cubes are covered with the mixture.

8(If mixture does not cover all of the bread cubes, you may add as much as 1 cup of milk to increase mixture).

9Cover Pyrex dish with foil.

10Set Pyrex dish in a larger pan.

11Fill larger pan with water to 1/2-inch from top.

12Place in oven.

13Set timer and bake for 35 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes or until browned but still soft.
