Broccoli Casserole

  • 3 pkg. chopped broccoli or equivalent of fresh
  • 2 c. milk
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 lb. Cheddar or Velveeta cheese, sliced
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 8 oz. Pepperidge Farm stuffing

Directions

    Make broccoli according to package directions; drain well and set aside.

    Combine milk, 4 tablespoons butter and flour over low heat (will be thin).

    Melt cheese into sauce.

    Heat water until hot; melt 1 stick butter into it.

    Add stuffing.

    Turn off heat. Add celery and onion.

    Layer broccoli, stuffing and sauce in greased casserole dish.

    Repeat layers.

    Bake uncovered at 300° for 30 minutes.
