Broccoli Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 1 bunch broccoli (4 to 5 c.)
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 c. diced red onion
  • 1/2 c. salad dressing
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar

Directions

    Fry bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels, crumble and set aside. Cut the broccoli into pieces.

    Cook until crisp-tender.

    In a large bowl, combine broccoli, raisins, sunflower seeds and onion.

    In a small bowl, stir together salad dressing, sugar and vinegar until well blended. Spoon over broccoli mixture.

    Toss to coat. Sprinkle bacon over salad and toss.

    Cover and refrigerate 3 hours or overnight.

    Serves 10 to 12.
