Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (16 oz.) bag broccoli or 3 stalks, fresh
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 6 Tbsp. butter, divided
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 8 oz. Velveeta cheese
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs

Directions

    Brown onion and four tablespoons butter until soft.

    Stir in flour and water.

    Cook over low heat, stirring continually.

    Blend in cheese.

    Combine sauce and partially thawed or cooled broccoli. Add eggs; mix gently until well blended.

    Put in buttered dish. Cover with bread crumbs.

    Dot with remaining two tablespoons butter.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
