Broiled Flank Steak

  • 1 flank steak (1 1/2 to 2 lb.)
  • 3 Tbsp. minced onions
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 2 drops Tabasco sauce
  • juice of 1/2 lemon

Directions

    Remove fat and covering membrane from flank steak.

    Tenderize with fork.
  3. 3
    Mix ingredients.

    Lay flank steak in a broiling pan and spread on half of the marinade.

    Turn and spread with rest of marinade.

    Cover with wax paper and leave for at least 30 minutes (overnight is best).

    Broil.

    Best if served rare to medium.

    Cut across the grain in very thin slices.
