Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/2 c. butter or oleo
  • 1 c. nuts, ground
  • 6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

    Cook sugar, salt, water and butter to 285° or until a few drops of mixture added to a cup of water will form a thin pliable ribbon.

    Add 1/2 cup of nuts.

    Pour onto a well-greased cookie sheet; cool.

    Melt chocolate; spread on top.
  5. 5
    Sprinkle with remaining nuts; cool.

    This will make about 2 dozen pieces.

    When cool, break into pieces.
