  • 1 cup oatmeal (Rolled Oats)
  • 2 tbs. dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup lukewarm water
  • 2 1/2 teas. salt
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 2 tbs. shortening
  • 6 cups flour or enough to work well (knead)
