Ingredients

  • 2 c. water
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1/2 to 3/4 stick margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. dried onion
  • 1 Tbsp. dried parsley
  • 1/2 can chopped mushrooms
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 1 c. uncooked white or brown long grain rice

Directions

    Put all ingredients, except rice, in a 2-quart pot with lid and bring to a boil.

    Then add rice.

    Bring to a second boil. Turn down heat to low.

    Cook, covered, for 20 minutes.
