Brown Sugar Macaroons

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 c. light brown sugar
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions

    Beat egg whites until stiff.

    Add cream of tartar and beat to make egg whites dry.

    Add brown sugar and beat until well blended. Fold in pecans and drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven at 200° for 2 hours.

    Check after 1 1/2 hours.

    They should be colored, but not brown.

    Store in airtight container.
