Brown Sugar Squash

- 2 medium-size acorn squash
- 1 stick butter
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 c. water
Directions

1Clean squash and cut in half.

2Clean out seeds with a spoon. Remove stem.

3Fill a 13 x 9-inch baking dish with 1/4 cup water. Place squash upside-down in pan.

4Bake at 350° for 1/2 hour. While squash is baking, melt butter in pan.

5Stir in brown sugar, salt and nutmeg.

6Leave mixture on low heat until 1/2 hour is up. Take out squash, turn them right side up and fill them with butter mixture.

7Place squash back in oven for 1/2 hour.
