- 1 lb green beans
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 12 cup low sodium chicken broth
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 18 teaspoon pepper
- 18 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions

1Trim ends of beans and remove strings.

2Cut in half if large.

3Heat oil in large skillet over high heat.

4Add beans, stirring frequently for about five minutes.

5They should be lightly browned.

6Reduce heat to medium, add broth slowly and mix well with beans.

7Add salt, pepper and simmer for two minutes or longer if you like your beans less cruncy.

8Remove from heat, add lemon juice, stirring well, so that all beans are covered.
