  • 2 bars (4 oz. each) German sweet chocolate
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. unsifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. finely chopped pecans

Directions

    Melt chocolate and butter over hot water.

    Stir to blend; cool.

    Beat eggs until foamy.

    Add sugar 2 tablespoons at a time, beating until thickened, about 5 minutes with mixer.

    Blend in chocolate mixture.

    Add flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; blend.

    Stir in vanilla and pecans.

    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet.

    Bake in moderate oven (350°) until cookies feel set when lightly touched, 8 to 10 minutes.
