  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 7 Tbsp. cocoa
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. nuts (optional)

Directions

    Melt margarine. Add sugar and mix. Add 4 eggs and mix.

    Sift flour, cocoa and salt; add to margarine, egg and sugar mixture. Add vanilla. Mix well. Mix by hand (add nuts if desired), do not use electric mixer. Pour batter into 13 x 9-inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. After brownies cool, ice with Betty Crocker's milk chocolate RTS frosting.
