- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. cocoa
- 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease an 8 or 9-inch square baking pan. Melt butter over low heat.

3Mix together cocoa and sugar, then stir in the melted butter.

4Add eggs and vanilla.

5Stir again.

6Now add the flour and salt; mix until smooth.

7Do not overmix.

8If you want to add chopped nuts, now's the time to do so.

9Pour mixture into the baking pan and spread evenly.

10Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until the brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan or a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center of the brownies.
