- 2 sticks butter, softened to room temperature
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 whole eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. (scant) flour
- 8 slightly heaping Tbsp. cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Mix well together the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla.

2Sift flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder together and mix in.

3Stir in pecans.

4Pour into 9 x 13-inch greased baking pan.

5Bake at 325° for 25 to 30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.

6Do not overbake.

7Cool and cut in squares.
