  • 12 slices bread
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 lb. bacon, crisp fried and crumbled
  • 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 qt. milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 c. crushed cornflakes

Directions

    Toast bread; spread with butter.

    Cut toasted bread into cubes.

    Layer toast cubes, bacon and cheese 1/2 at a time in 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

    Beat eggs in large bowl.

    Add milk, salt and pepper; beat until smooth.

    Pour over layers.

    Chill overnight. Sprinkle with cornflakes.

    Bake at 375° for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until brown and set.
