- 12 slices bread
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 lb. bacon, crisp fried and crumbled
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 8 eggs
- 1 qt. milk
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 c. crushed cornflakes
Directions

1Toast bread; spread with butter.

2Cut toasted bread into cubes.

3Layer toast cubes, bacon and cheese 1/2 at a time in 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

4Beat eggs in large bowl.

5Add milk, salt and pepper; beat until smooth.

6Pour over layers.

7Chill overnight. Sprinkle with cornflakes.

8Bake at 375° for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until brown and set.
