- 8 slices bread, cubed
- 2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, divided
- 4 eggs
- 2 3/4 c. milk, divided
- 1 1/2 lb. link sausage *
- 3/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 c. mushroom soup
Directions

1The day before, place cubed bread in an 8-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese.

2Cover with sausage, which has been cut into small pieces and cooked.

3Top with remaining other 1 cup cheese.

4In a small bowl, beat eggs and 2 1/4 cups milk together. Pour over sausage mixture.

5Refrigerate overnight.

6The next day, dilute mushroom soup with 1/2 cup milk.

7Pour over refrigerated mixture.

8Bake at 300° to 325° for 1 1/2 hours or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
