- 3 to 4 lb. chicken, cut up
- 1 to 2 lb. pork shoulder, cut up
- 1 lb. beef stew in 3-inch cubes
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 qt. water
- 1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen lima beans
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen butter beans
- 4 large white potatoes
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 3 to 4 c. frozen cut corn
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen okra
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 4 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Place chicken, meats and onion in large pot.

2Add water; simmer gently for 2 hours.

3Add next 5 ingredients; simmer 1 hour longer, stirring often.

4Add celery, corn, okra and seasonings. Cook another half hour, stirring often, until mixture thickens. Remove loose bones.

5Add butter and stir well.
