- 12 sliced carrots
- 1/4 c. melted margarine
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 lb. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 small diced onion
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. celery salt
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Cook carrots slightly and drain.

2Cook onion in melted margarine for 2 or 3 minutes.

3Stir in flour, salt, mustard and milk.

4Cook until smooth.

5Add pepper and celery salt.

6Layer carrots and Cheddar cheese in 2-quart casserole, beginning and ending with carrots.

7Pour sauce over layers and top with bread crumbs.

8Bake, uncovered, at 350° for approximately 25 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
