Burnt Cream Fudge

Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. canned evaporated milk
  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions

    Put 1 cup sugar in a pan and melt completely.

    Then pour 1 cup cold water into it.

    While it is melting, mix 2 cups sugar, canned milk and butter in bowl until dissolved.

    Pour into dissolved sugar and water.

    Cook until soft ball forms when dropped in cold water. Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts.

    Beat by hand until it starts to thicken.

    Pour in a buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Cool, cut and enjoy.
