Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. hamburger meat
  • 1 1/2 lb. chorizo or bulk pork sausage
  • 12 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 20 burrito size flour tortillas
  • 2 pkg. taco seasoning (if bulk pork sausage is used)
  • 1 large jar picante sauce (hot or mild)
  • oil for frying

Directions

    Brown and drain meats.

    Add taco seasoning and picante sauce. Soften tortillas (S at A time) in microwave for 45 seconds.

    Place approximately 2 tablespoons of meat and 1 1/2 tablespoons of cheese on side of tortilla nearest you.

    Roll approximately 2/3 the width of the tortilla.

    Fold the ends in and roll the rest of the way.

    Fry, flap side down, in enough oil to cover burrito halfway until golden brown.

    Turn and fry the other side until golden brown.

    Yields 20 burritos.
