- 2 (No. 2) cans butter beans (4 c.)
- 4 slices bacon, cut up in pieces
- 1 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2/3 c. light molasses
- 2/3 c. tomato catsup
- 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. liquid from canned beans
Directions

1Brown the bacon; break into small pieces.

2Remove bacon from pan.

3Brown the celery and onion in the bacon drippings.

4In a 2-quart casserole, combine the beans, bacon, celery, onion, molasses, catsup, mustard, salt and bean liquid.

5Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 1 1/2 hours.

6Cover when the beans and sauce seem to have thickened enough.
