  • 1/2 lb. margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Directions

    Cream margarine and sugar until fluffy; add eggs, one at a time then add vanilla. In separate bowl, add dry ingredients and mix. Add buttermilk alternating with dry ingredient mixture to egg mixture. Bake at 350° for 1 hour in a greased and floured tube pan.
