- 2/3 margarine
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 2/3 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. cake flour or 2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. milk
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Grease and flour baking pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inches or three 8-inch round layer pans.

3In large mixer bowl, mix butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until fluffy.

4Beat 5 minutes on high speed, scraping bowl occasionally.

5On low speed, mix flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk; pour into pans.

6Bake oblong at 450° for 50 minutes, layers at 300° for 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

7Cool.
