  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1 large onion - cut into thin wedges
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 clove garlic , crushed
  • 2 tsp crushed fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp ground red chilli pepper
  • 1 tsp Corainder powder
  • 500 grams Chicken
  • 1/4 cup ground almonds
  • 225 grams peeled whole tomatoes (with juice)
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup natural yoghurt

Directions

    In a large pan, heat the butter until it's frothy

    Add the onions & the cinnamon to the pan & fry lightly
  3. 3
    When the onions are soft,stir in the garlic & ginger..then add the turmeric,chilli & corainder.Saute over a medium heat

    Add the chicken & saute stirring constantly until the chicken meat turns white

    Add the ground almonds,tomatoes & tomato paste

    Mix thoroughly,cover & shimmer for 20-30 minutes

    Add the yoghurt & heat through gently before serving
