- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 1/4 cups flour, sifted
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Directions

1Heat oven to 450.

2Melt butter in oven oblong 13 x 9 1/2 x 3 inch pan.

3Remove when butter is melted.

4Sift dry ingredients into bowl.

5Add milk.

6Stir slowly with a fork until dough just clings together.

7Knead lightly about 10 times.

8Roll out 1/2 inch thick into rectangular 12 x 8 inch pan.

9Cut in half lengthwise, then crosswise into 16 strips.

10Dip each strip on both sides in melted butter.

11Place close together in two rows.

12Bake 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

13Serve piping hot.
