- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 c. warm water
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. flour
- 3 drops almond extract
- 1 stick butter
- 2 eggs
- 3 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Add sugar, salt, 3 cups flour and almond extract.

3Mix well.

4Add 1 stick melted butter and 1 beaten egg; mix well.

5Add another egg and the other 3 cups flour. Knead well; let rise until double in bulk (about 1 hour and 15 minutes).

6Knead well again.

7Make into loaves; let rise again for 1 hour.

8Bake at 400° for 15 minutes, then down to 300° for 30 minutes.

9Makes 2 loaves.
