Ingredients
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 3/4 c. chopped nuts (optional)
- semi-sweet chocolate (bits are okay)
Directions

1Melt butter in 2-quart pan. Remove from heat and blend in sugar.

2Cook until mixture bubbles. Add water and syrup and cook to 290° (use candy thermometer). Stir in nuts.

3Pour on lightly buttered cookie sheet or marble slab.

4Cool to room temperature. Keep loosening with spatula to prevent sticking.

5Melt 1/2 of the chocolate or chocolate bits.

6Spread on top side of candy.

7When chocolate is firm, turn underside up and spread with remaining chocolate.

8When chocolate is completely firm, break candy into pieces.

9Store in airtight container. Delicious!

10Tastes like Heath bar candy.
