- dough for biscuits
- 1/2 lb. butter, softened
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- about 1 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Make dough as for biscuits.

2Roll the dough out in the shape of a pie crust and about 1/4-inch thickness.

3Spread butter over rolled-out dough.

4Next, sprinkle sugar over butter.

5Sprinkle nutmeg over sugar.

6Roll up the dough like a jelly roll and cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces.

7Place in a deep casserole which can be heated on top of the stove or in oven.

8Pour water over rolls and place on medium heat on top of stove.

9Take a spoon and lift each roll so that the water gets under each roll.

10When it comes to a boil, place in oven and bake until lightly browned.
