Buttered Spinach With Bacon Recipe

  • 1 x bun spinach (fresh)
  • 50 gm butter
  • 1/2 c. bacon, diced
  • 1 pch salt, pepper
  • 1 pch nutmeg

Directions

    Remove stems from spinach, wash 3 times in cool water to remove any traces of dirt.

    Drain well and spread onto a teatowel to dry.

    Heat butter in a pan, when it begins to sizzle, add in the bacon and saute/fry 1-2 min till bacon starts to take on some colour.

    Add in spinach and seasonings, quickly toss till just wilted.

    Remove spinach and bacon to a colander to drain any excess liquid away.

    Arrange on plate and serve immediately.

    Cook the spinach just before serving.

    Goes well with just about any meat or possibly seafood dish.
