  • 3 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. buttermilk

    Blend well butter and sugar.

    Add one egg at a time.

    Sift flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda together. (Note:

    Add buttermilk and sifted flour mixture alternately until consumed.)

    Bake at 350° about 45 minutes or until done, in three cake tins.
