- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. self-rising corn meal
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Melt butter in small cast-iron skillet.

2Stir together the flour, corn meal, egg and buttermilk and add butter.

3Leave small amount of butter in bottom and along sides of skillet.

4Pour mixture into heated skillet and bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve immediately.
