- 2 eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 c. flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Directions

1Beat eggs and sugar; add oil and vanilla.

2Add flour, etc., with the buttermilk.

3When well mixed, put on floured board and roll out about 1/2-inch thick.

4Cut with doughnut cutter.

5Fry in hot (375°) oil or Crisco until light brown, turning as you cook. Makes about 2 dozen doughnuts.
