Buttermilk Pie

  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla, plus a drop of almond extract
  • 1 pkg. (2) frozen pie shells

Directions

    Stir 2 tablespoons flour into the sugar.

    Cream in butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each time.

    Add buttermilk, vanilla, almond extract and salt; mix well.

    Pour into 2 pie shells.

    Bake at 325° for 40 minutes.

    Good served warm or cold.

    Can be frozen.
