  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 tsp. lemon extract

    Cream Crisco and sugar.

    Add egg yolks. Add soda in first cup of flour.

    Add buttermilk, then rest of flour.

    Add extract. Last, add stiffly beaten egg whites.

    Bake in greased and floured Bundt pan.

    Put in cold oven.

    Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes at 325°.
