Ingredients
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 2 pkg. yeast (2 Tbsp.)
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 or 2 eggs (if possible)
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 5 to 6 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water and sugar.

2Warm buttermilk to about 98° temperature (baby bottle temperature).

3Add soda.

4Put these ingredients in mixing bowl.

5Add butter, salt and eggs; mix slightly, then add flour, 1 cup at a time, until dough no longer sticks to the side of the bowl.

6Cover; let rise.

7Punch down; make into rolls.

8Let rise for about 25 minutes.

9Bake at 400° for 15 minutes.

10Makes 24 to 36 rolls.
