Strawberry Cake - Eggless

  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 4 tablespoons curd
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • 250 grams strawberry

Directions

    Pre-heat the oven to 180 C/450 F for 10 minutes. Line the baking tray with butter/oil and keep it ready.

    Combine all purpose flour,atta and baking powder together to avoid any lumps and keep it separate.

    Beat butter/oil and sugar together to get it soft and fluffy.

    Add curd, vanilla essence and beat it continuously.

    Lastly add milk and the dry ingredients together.

    Wash and cut the strawberries into halves.

    Pour the batter onto the baking tray and level the top with a spatula.

    Now top the batter with strawberries with the cut side facing down.

    Keep it in oven for around 30-45 minutes and bake.

    Check with a toothpick and if it comes out clean, then the cake is ready.

    Take out and let it cool for 10 minutes. Invert onto a rack and let it cool to attain room temperature.

    You can have it as it is or with ice cream on top of it. I just loved it as it is. It was so soft and fluffy.
