- 1/4 cup (60 ml) butter, melted
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/2 pint buttermilk
- 1 tsp (5 ml) sugar
- 1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
- 1 lb (.5 kg) self-rising flour
Directions

1Add butter and egg to buttermilk.

2Mix well then add dry ingredients.

3Mix to soft dough.

4Turn out on floured surface.

5Knead lightly.

6Cut off pieces of dough and flatten by hand.

7Prick with fork.

8Bake at 400 degrees (200 C.) F. 10 to 15 minutes.
