- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 2 sticks butter
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk (add water to make 1 c.)
- 2 tsp. vanilla-butternut flavor or 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp. lemon and 1/2 tsp. almond
Directions

1Cream shortenings and sugar.

2Add eggs, one at a time; beat until fluffy.

3Add flour, salt and milk alternately, ending with flour.

4Fold in.

5Add flavoring.

6Bake in large, greased and well floured tube pan at 325° for about 1 1/2 hours.

7Sprinkle with confectioners sugar when cool.
