- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. quick cooking oats
- 1 c. finely chopped walnuts, divided
- 1/2 c. flaked coconut
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch morsels
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2In a large bowl combine butter, sugar and brown sugar.

3Beat until creamy.

4Add egg yolks and vanilla. Beat well.

5Gradually blend in flour.

6Stir in oats, 1/2 cup nuts and coconut.

7Spread onto lightly greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch pan.

8Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

9Cool.

10Melt over hot, not boiling, water the butterscotch morsels.

11Remove from heat.

12Spread evenly over cookie layer.

13Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup nuts. Chill for 10 minutes.

14Cut into 2 x 1-inch bars.

15Makes 75 bars.
