- 1 c. brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch
- 4 egg yolk beaten, save whites
- 2 c. milk
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Mix. Heat and stir until thickened on medium heat.

2Remove from stove and 2 Tbsp. butter plus 1 tsp. vanilla.

3Cool and pour into baked pie shell.

4Top with meringue of 4 egg whites beaten until stiff and forms peak.

5Add 8 Tbsp. sugar, 1 Tbsp. at a time and continue to beat.

6Add pinch of salt, and 1 tsp. vanilla and stir.

7Spread on top of butterscotch filling.

8Bake 350° until meringue is golden brown.
